Cut and paste, something I knew about!

Learned how to do math in the google search bar, not bad! Must spread the word to the kiddies, thank you very much!

Will be learning about power-point down the line, good thing, seems easy, right down my lane!

Learned to right click with control, get it!

bubbl.us is next, more shapes. See math is everywhere!!!

Too tired, gotta go, can you tell???

Session 6, Monday, March 26, 2007

Peter, we missed you!!

Another great class, want to buy some dehydrated water???

Got to know what to believe and how to better recognize what not to believe. I am so gullible, this could be tuff!

A goal: contribute to wikipedia, might take a while, but never know!

And got some project work done, thank you Steve and Connie!

All for now.

session 5 - location and access

This is how it is done. Choose your words carefully and quote the best, then end it with an edu gov, net, com or other.

Might want to improve my vocabulary along the way so that I can make up those synonyms.

Nesting and Ctrl keys at last!!

I just might be on this session for a while, need the practice finding what I want..........always have !!

Now for the fun stuff: wikis! Create a calculus wiki so that all can contribute to the product. They can read each others, but all will contribute. Need to work out the details, practice the set up, work out the kinks!

session 4 addend, March 12, Monday

Minerva, marvel, wiki.........what will they come up with next???

I can find anything, anywhere, for anytime.........or not! It is all there. I just need to develop the knowhow to access it! List of things to do.

Have got to tell Maureen C. about the audios for history. Wonder what she will do with them?

Will get some speakers from the techers at school to help enlighten the calculus lovelies at 7:30 am with calc. audio!!
Today's paper, ppherald ( Mar 12, 2007) : Young gamers get lesson in how to cheat. Bad work for the educators! What is the attraction for these 8-12 year olds?

Am locked out of www.youtube.com here at school. Need to rectify that situation! Math material awaits me!

Oh to explore the search engines listed in ch 7. Thank you Donna B. and Mary Bird!

session 3, Thursday, March 8, 2007

I want to do math on www.youtube.com!!

Evaluation-formative is the way to go.

Let them see the good, the bad, and the ugly so that they will have a basis of comparison.

Love the idea of classmate to have students correct own paper with designed rubric or checklist while I do the problem out on the board. They can self-evaluate instead of seeing the number grade and trashing the paper!

Now can create a table in word that works!
Might even tackle excel one day!!

Will be joining Pete Small's world of prepared rubrics very soon!
Thank you class!

session 2, monday, march 5, 07

Dan the man was here with his darling daughter to share ideas on essential questions. I must say that Dan is an excellent multi-tasker! This prepping students for the creation of essential questions may be a bit involved, especially since I have yet to create them myself!

An essential question would be one that may be posted on the front board and remain as a cue for an overall topic, project, or general question.

Plagiarism is an existing concern. What currently are and will eventually become the ramifications and consequences of plagiarizing? Parent input and what the laws will allow will certainly be of interest.

Blogging will be very helpful with calculus class! Share the misery!!
